What is A Hydroponic Greenhouse
A hydroponic greenhouse is a special type of greenhouse where plants are grown without soil. Instead, they use a nutrient-rich water solution to get the necessary minerals and nutrients.
This method allows for precise control over the growing environment, which often leads to faster plant growth and higher yields. The lighting and climate controls create optimal conditions for plant growth.
Hydroponic greenhouses can be highly efficient, using less water than traditional soil gardening and allowing for year-round cultivation.
At Continuum they specialize in 4 different types of lettuce:

Regulation of Air Water And Sunlight
Air
To regulate air you can pull up the sides of the greenhouse so that air can enter the greenhouse.
Water
To regulate water they keep their
plants in small pipes so that water
can run through the pipes. The
greenhouses at continuum are
completely automated.
Sunlight
Continuum uses translucent screens
as roofs of their greenhouse so that
sunlight can come through.
Advantages of Having A Greenhouse
A few advantages of having a green house are
You can easily control the
temperature
you can also control
erosion easily
If the climate isn’t good for
the crops it’s easier to take
care of said issue.
It’s easy to control all the
needed raw materials like
water, sunlight, soil, etc.
it acts as a barrier when spraying pesticides
My Experience
When I reached continuum Mr. Madhusudhan first introduced me to Mr. Suraj. from there we went to the greenhouse housing the iceberg lettuce. He told us about how everything there is completely automated. And instead of soil they use coconut husks. They also automated their drip irrigation system. Then we went to the romaine lettuce, then the butterhead lettuce greenhouses. Then he took me to the greenhouse which houses blueberries. It was a very intriguing and interesting day at the continuum farm

Very interesting and informative read! I wonder if they would allow tourists to visit when they are in Coonoor? Would be so wonderful to see this in person!
