Coonoor on a Plate: Must-Visit Restaurants in 2026

This article is all about the restaurants of Coonoor in 2026. I have made a list like this but that was ages ago. So here is my take on the best restaurants in Coonoor as of 2026

Third Wave Coffee: This is a very popular cafe in Coonoor. It has mainly sandwiches, pizzas, burritos and is great for people who want to have a quick bite and also for the people that want to meet up over a cup of coffee. But out of everything they have I would genuinely recommend the cheesecake.

Cherrie Berrie: This is an establishment which used to be a tea factory but is now being used as a supermarket, a cafe and a fine dining restaurant. For the purpose of this article I will focus on the fine dining restaurant. It is a great veg restaurant that has many different cuisines. It has everything from naan, to pizza, to even sushi. Yes, veg sushi. Before being biased towards the fact that it is a veg restaurant I would just like to mention how I am a complete carnivore yet I think that Cherrie Berrie is simply lovely and you should definitely try it out.

Anma: Anma is great for breakfast lunch and dinner. They have a hearty and healthy English Breakfast, they also have a good Indian and Asian menu. I particularly like the Asian starters. Anma also has a small pizzeria called Euphoria that makes some interesting and unique pizzas (the seafood pizza).

Cafe Diem: Mentioned in my previous blog but I will mention it again. One of my favourite restaurant in Coonoor. Their cuisine is mostly Mediterranean. They make really great food. It is a veg restaurant but do serve eggs yet as I said before it is still delicious. They also always have a great Christmas Menu every year. And to top it all off the views from here are absolutely breathtaking. They are open for lunch and early dinners but it is impossible to go there without a reservation. You must try their deserts and their pumpkin soup.

Sri Lakshmi Cafe: One of the best Indian breakfast places in Coonoor. They are open throughout the day though. My usual order here is the podi dosa with a goli soda.

Mciver: Mciver has a good mix of both Indian and continental cuisine. It is a great place to host big parties as well. Many famous movies have been shoot here, like, Kapoor and Sons so definitely worth visiting.

Moddy's: The Best Hot Chocolate In Town!

Bird House Cafe: A cafe that's very popular with tourists. They have really good pastas and desserts.
